Sometimes Feeling Bad is Good

Last night was our anniversary, and we went out for a real nice dinner. The food was great, but I definitely ate too much. Crab appetizers, margaritas, big bowl of gumbo, a bunch of my wife's spicy steak pasta, and too many rolls and biscuits with butter. It all tasted great, but a few hours later I felt like crap because my body's not used to all eating all that, which I think of as a good thing. It shows that I've come a long way since January. Yeah, I always used to feel a little crappy after eating too much, but I was really feeling it last night and I think a lot of it has to do with the changes that have taken place in my body over the past few months.

Still there's more weight to lose and keep off, so back to the fight! Have a great Memorial Day Weekend everyone and a special shout out to those of you in the service or with family and friends in the service.

  1. Yes and yes...we've had a few restaurant experiences lately that feel too much like "old times". I order food based on my prior appetite and still eat it all and feel crappy afterward.

The other real difference between then and now, though, is that I get right back on the proverbial track the next day, meal, etc. instead of pulling an "oh F*ck it" and spiraling back to the abyss.

Here is to a great holiday and staying out of the abyss.

    Oh..and happy anniversary!
