Corn Nuts

It is late, so another short post. Grading today a B+ for eating reasonable portions of foods I really like (omelet, BBQ chicken, low sodium ham on pita, peas and mushrooms)  at all meals, drinking enough water, getting 12,000+ pedometer steps (mostly from yard work). Snacked on a few too many Corn Nuts or might have graded higher.

I feel like I'm generally back on track from last week's mini slump and ready to lose a few more pounds soon. One big corner I can slowly feel myself turning is not feeling like I have to eat a whole bunch of something just because it tastes great. I'm not all the way there on this, but I do find that it's easier these days to eat just 1 piece of fried chicken rather than 3 or 4, or 1-2 slices of pizza instead of all that is available. For me that is a big deal. Good night all.

  1. It's awesome that you can eat in moderation now! I can't even imagine being able to just eat 1 or 2 bits of pizza. Go you!

  3. That is a monster sized deal...If a little tastes good, than a ton tastes better is a big problem for me. I'm still a clean plate club guy so I simply have to cook the right sized portions in the first place. I still can't go to buffets or even have a salad bar, because if it is all you can eat, that is what I'll do. That is why dining out for me is either rare or I make extremely good menu choices. Yes, I can have them pre-wrap half the entree, but it bothers me to pay restaurant dollars for immediate leftovers.

Bottom line, if you can eat enough to savor the taste, but no more, you are really solving some problems!

  4. That's a good corner to turn. I think it's something that we all deal with on a regular basis b/c it's so easy to eat a LOT of what we really like.

    keep it up.
